Port Louis Grenada Sailing Festival launches in style

The view of the Carenage and historic St George's provided the perfect backdrop for the launch of the Port Louis Grenada sailing festival.

Over two hundred persons from Grenada and the Caribbean joined the sailing festival team and new sponsors Port Louis Grenada at the Victory Bar, for the biggest pre event celebration in the history of the sailing festival.

Among those enjoying the absolutely delightful evening were Minister of Works Hon Brenda Hood; Minister of Private Sector Development Hon Einstein Louison; Sailing festival Chairman Jimmy Bristol and his entire team and Chairman and Founder of Savvy Grenada Peter de Savary.

Cocktails and champagne were followed by speeches as Minister Hood, Mr. Bristol and Mr. de Savary all endorsed the festival and committed to developing it into one of the best in the world. Both government and the festival committee complimented Port Louis Grenada for making a long term commitment to sponsoring the sailing festival.

Port Louis Grenada has committed to sponsoring the sailing festival for the next three years. During this time Port Louis and the festival organizers will be marketing the festival globally.

The Port Louis Grenada Sailing Festival, January 25th – 29th 2008. It will feature races in Workboat and Keelboat categories as well as Kayak races and Junior Races.
