The first Princess X95 superyacht has taken to the water in Plymouth and commenced sea trials. First revealed in 2018, the 29.11-metre all-GRP vessel is the first model from the new 'Superfly' class of yacht from the British shipyard and is the design work of British naval architecture office Olesinski and the Italian design studio Pininfarina.Princess X95/01 yacht in sea trial in PlymouthPhoto: Princess YachtsWith its performance being tested during gruelling sea trials, the X95's new hull designed in partnership with Olesinskiย evolves the deep-V concept in order to provide 15% improved efficiency with additional stability in all sea conditions. The benefits of this bow shape are further enhanced by extending the hull surfaces aft under the bathing platform.Princess X95/01 yacht in sea trial in PlymouthPhoto: Princess YachtsIn addition, this enables the hull to have a smooth transition from highly-efficient low cruising speeds to maximum speed whilst maintaining optimum trim angle and ride comfort in all sea conditions: aspects which will be put to the test during her sea trials. In total, the Super Flybridge is almost 22 metres, which is more than double the length of a typical flybridge on a yacht of this size. ย Princess X95 yachtPhoto: Princess YachtsPrincess X95 yacht interiorPhoto: Princess YachtsOn board, guest accommodation for up to eight can be found on the lower deck, comprising a full-beam master stateroom amidships and two twin and one double VIP suite forward.
