The Dutch brand Hespera is proud to offer a creative sleeping solution for every crew cabin in any superyacht - a new level of luxurious comfort without the steep price tag.
The product was developed after six months of market research by Hespera’s Sjors Sakellariou, where he identified that superyacht crew are too often faced with onboard beds which provide inadequate ventilation for a good night’s sleep.
The solution to this is ‘The Hespera Breeze’. This is a combination of a mattress and a pocket springs underlayer which will replace the traditional slatted bed base usually found in crew quarters. The underlayer contains small 5 cm pocket strings (springs) which, when opened, stretch out to 10 cm, offering better comfort and greater ventilation for the sleeping crewmember as a result.
Designed specifically for the crew, each Hespera Breeze is fully customised to meet the needs of each individual vessel, after receiving measurements from the client. The installation process of each ‘Breeze’ saves interior designs companies hours of labour and money per bed installed.
Speaking of the obvious benefits of ensuring your crew has the best night’s sleep possible, Hespera’s Sjors Sakellariou explains: “To ensure that the crew is 100% at their best, a strong team spirit is required. It all comes down to the mutual relation and atmosphere. This ensures that the crew can perform at their best as a team. The result is immediately noticeable. A good night’s rest ensures not only physical rest but also mental rest. This makes both body and mind completely relaxed and fully charged to deliver the best possible performances.”
“Often the crew is away from home for a longer period of time and that can lead to a decrease in motivation. Hespera Breeze ensures a luxurious sleeping solution that places the feeling of ‘home’ into the crew cabin and lifts it to a higher level. The crew will never wish for anything else ever again: the Hespera Breeze is designed for both optimal ventilation and comfort at sea.”
The Hespera Breeze sleeping solution is double resilient, ensuring a proper body pressure distribution, and utilises sustainable materials to offer a constant and natural ventilation and the highest quality.
