Product of the week: the Seascape Bathing Platform from Hydromar

Launched two years ago from the Dutch brand Hydromar Marine Equipment at that years’ edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, the hydraulic bathing platform Seascape is the company’s means to supply the increasing demand seen from larger yachts for an extensive hydraulic bathing platform.

Designed for both motor and sailing yachts ranging from 30 to 100+ metres, the SeaScape Platform is based on the ethos at the core of the company: tailor made equipment based on standard Hydromar solutions. The unique product is set to make life on board as seamless and hassle-free as possible for guests and Owner by effectively creating a large stairway that leads from the back of the superyacht directly into the ocean.

The product comes in two sizes; 1.9 x 2.0 metres with three to five steps, a maximum static load of 500 kg and an approximate weight of 900 kg (plus the steps), as well as in the 2.7 x 4.0 metre version, with six to eight steps, a maximum static load of 1000 kg, and a weight of 1,350 kg (plus the steps). Within each size, the platform size and number of steps can be tailor made to suit the individual owner's needs. Black anodized aluminium, polished stainless steel, teak and aluminium stair booms finished in superyacht quality paint ensures the Seascape fits in as a notable extension of the vessel.

With its unique crankshaft mechanism the stability of steps and platform are optimal, and is driven by rotary actuators. A complete working system as well as the power pack is included with the product, and all the Seascape’s are tailor made to the ship’s construction. The actual construction of the platform is also included in the standard delivery, thoughexcludes teak to avoid color differences with the teak on deck.

The loading enables the platform to launch and store small tenders, jetskis, diving gear and toys, whilst the platform also features a smart integrated safety feature designed to deal with an occasional overloading by large waves.

Hydromar will be present at the upcoming edition of the Monaco Yacht Show with the prototype of the platform, and invite the industry to visit them in the Holland Pavilion, stand QAB8.
