Finn Berg Yacht Design has shared the renders of a new, cutting-edge yacht design: a 63.3-metre superyacht Project Eco-X, with unique features including an observation elevator, underwater viewing gallery, and onboard science station.
At a spacious volume of 1,250 GT, the vessel is capable of accommodating up to 12 guests onboard, while separate accommodation is also available for up to 14 crew members. Furthermore, one of the yacht’s most striking elements is the inclusion of an onboard science station that hosts three scientists.
Boasting an “overall unique aesthetic” in the words of her designer, Project Eco-X’s Japanese-inspired undertone is evident inside her interior decor, particularly in the plush saloon. 
The presence of eye-catching plant life married with colossal floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic views ensures that the cosy social hub containing interesting asymmetries consistently references nature, thereby achieving a pervasive theme of tranquillity throughout.
Not only that, but the wood-like aesthetic of the furnishings, complimented by a primarily ecru and beige colour palette, along with a coffee table that imitates a wicker basket, further augments a sensation of organic, natural materials.
Drawing inspiration from Damen Yachting’s SeaXplorer design, Project Eco-X also features futuristic amenities such as an underwater viewing gallery where guests can calmly recline on sumptuous white sofas with a beverage in hand as they take in far-reaching views of passing sea life. 
Should those onboard want to expand their views even further into the horizon, they can also take to the impressive observation elevator that seamlessly connects to the yacht’s sleek, black exterior silhouette. 
In addition, a luxurious private owner’s deck allows guests to gaze out at the stunning surroundings from the comfort of a secluded balcony, equipped with two cushy armchairs and a coffee table that are perfectly suited to sun-kissed alfresco dining.
Inside the palatial master’s suite, sliding glass doors as well as an expansive skylight flood the space, which is adorned in a variety of exotic vegetation, with plenty of natural light, paving the way for peaceful, meditative relaxation.
With regards to her performance, this forward-thinking superyacht is powered by methanol fuel cells that permit her to reach a cruising speed of 14 knots.
