42m GCX40 explorer yacht concept created by new Australian group Evolution Yachts

Misha Merzliakov Yacht Design (MMYD) has announced a new joint venture with Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM), Marine Engineering Consultants, Periscope Naval Architects and Evolution Motor Yachts. This joint venture, which bears the name of the latter business, released a new explorer yacht concept at this year’s Australian Superyacht Rendezvous. Evolution Yachts Project GCX40Photo: Evolution YachtsThe GCX40 explorer yacht concept is a 42-metre aluminium build featuring naval architecture by Periscope Naval Architects and both an exterior and interior design by Misha Merzliakov. The GCX40 will be able to reach up to 16 knots with a range of 5,500 nautical miles and has already received multiple enquiries.Evolution Yachts Project GCX40Photo: Evolution YachtsCommenting on the joint venture, Evolution Yachts’ founder Kevin Altera says that “the partners in this joint venture have been selected as they represent key and market-leading marine services.
