Construction continues on 55m spec Project Pollux

The hull and superstructure of Project Pollux have been joined at the Heesen shipyard in Oss, the Netherlands, where she will remain for the next 16 months ahead of her scheduled delivery during autumn 2020. The 55-metre Steel FDHF superyacht built on speculation is taking on the shapes and design work of Frank Laupman from Omega Architects and Van Oossanen Naval Architects.Heesen Project Pollux in build in OssPhoto: Dick HolthuisHeesen Project Pollux in build in OssPhoto: Dick HolthuisSporting a masculine profile, chiselled lines, floor to ceiling windows and open bulwarks, Pollux features a similar exterior to her sistership: the recently sold Project Castor. Across three decks, Project Pollux will house a beach club and wellness area, a lazarette dedicated to guests and large social areas on both the main and bridge deck - all of which have been decorated to the designs of Bannenberg & Rowell. Outdoors, guests will find a 100-square-metre sun deck and a range of toys and tenders stored on the foredeck.  Heesen Project Pollux in build in OssPhoto: Dick Holthuis
