Following the purchase of the shipyard by Mohammed Al Barwani in recent months, the name of the Turkish shipyard Proteksan-Turquoise has been changed to Turquoise Yachts. Dr. Al Barwani is also owner of the Dutch yard Oceanco after investing in the company back in 2010, though insists the two yards’ operations will remain completely separate.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/153230/image/large-2935eb2e4d40ef715b2b5ef1556775e7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/153230">Established in 2001 by Mehmet Karabeyoglu and his late partner Hayati Kamhi, Turquoise Yachts is located in Tuzla near Istanbul, and has produced 20 superyachts since opening its doors. Baltic Yachts has unveiled the new Baltic 78 Custom, a 24m long-distance performance cruising yacht scheduled for delivery in 2027.
