The cash portion of the purchase price was reduced from $850 million to $551 million after Inmarsat paid a $299 million special dividend to its shareholders in April 2022. The shares issued to the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4064" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Inmarsat plc (Company)">Inmarsat</a> shareholders at the closing represent an aggregate of approximately 37.6 percent of the total shares of Viasat common stock on a fully diluted basis, with no Inmarsat shareholder receiving shares representing 10% or more. In connection with closing of the acquisition on May 30, 2023, Viasat drew down on approximately $1.35 billion of its committed financing package, including a $617 million secured term loan facility and a $733 million unsecured bridge loan. The lower financed amount reflects in part the reduction in the cash component of the purchase price.

TISG acquires furniture company Celi

The Italian Sea Group (TISG) has announced that they have finalised the acquisition of the fine furniture company Celi S.r.l.

Frédéric Dormeuil has an eclectic career history that includes the likes of JCB, his own family business, Dunhill and Aston Martin. He stormed into the yachting sector in 2018, partnering up with Patrick Coote, now Managing Director of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/526" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Northrop and Johnson (Company)">Northrop &amp; Johnson</a> Europe to establish The Superyacht Show – and his reception couldn’t have been warmer.&nbsp;Dormeuil has since partnered with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser Yachts</a> and Superyacht TV and was just appointed CEO of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/56854" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="BWA Yachting acquires SOS Yachting and appoints Frédéric Dormeuil as CEO (2023-01-31 12:30:00 +0100)">SOS Yachting, following the acquisition by BWA Yachting</a>. Our French office isn’t far by any means, but Monaco is unique – there are so many of us in this small neck of the woods, and us planning to open here has been received positively from the industry.Any closing words about how the economical climate may impact the future?&nbsp;Mindsets have changed post-pandemic and from a macro-economic perspective it’s certainly positive for our strange little world.
