Rebuild of Inevitable nears completion at Feadship De Vries Makkum

Yesterday Feadship De Vries Makkum started with the operation to re-launch Inevitable. The yacht had to leave the huge shed through the backdoor as the first XL yacht (hull 1001) is currently being finished in the dock. After leaving the shed, she was slowly moved on a floating pontoon (see photos below). Later today she will be transported to Harlingen, where she will launch in a floating dock.

The owner of Inevitable sold his 40m yacht and bought his “dream”, the 18 year old Feadship Mi Gaea in 2006. In the summer the yacht cruised extensively throughout the Mediterranean and the following photo shows the “old” Inevitable leaving Antibes, on 30 August.

In autumn of 2006 she arrived in Makkum for a complete rebuild. During the rebuild the complete interior was replaced, the swimming platform was modified, the upper decks were lengthened and her hull was repainted in dark blue. The new interior of Inevitable was designed by Patrick Knowles Design, while the original interior was done by Donald Starkey.

The following photos of Inevitable were taken this afternoon in Makkum.
