Recent charter broker open house aboard superyacht Shogun

Northrop and Johnson San Diego and Fort Lauderdale offices recently hosted a Charter Broker Open House aboard Shogun, 122’ Flagship, at the Kona Kai Marina, Shelter Island in San Diego. Samurais, 16th Century swords and plenty of sushi were all part of the fun aboard the Asian-inspired yacht. The open house was followed by a client only soiree with approximately 40 vip clients in attendance including, naval architect Doug Sharp, yacht interior designer Marsha Brun and Todd Roberts of Marine Group.

Onboard, Shogun's crew of 5 entertained guests with a magnificent slideshow of their charter activities in Mexico and Alaska. Captain Eric Yeager began the evening with a cruise from Shelter Island to downtown San Diego, just in time to catch the magnificent sunset. A guest aboard noted, “The lights of downtown San Diego made for a lovely backdrop for the two-hour cruise.”

Shogun's recently refurbished interior features Zen-like décor highlighted by luxurious linens, exotic woods, fine art and artifacts. Leisure options abound for guests, from exploring sea and shore on a pair of waverunners or by private tender, to rendezvous diving, fishing or snorkeling. Onboard amenities include Jacuzzi tubs in the on-deck master and VIP staterooms, iPod docking stations, Nintendo Wii, a pair of kayaks, towable toys, and a pair of underwater scooters.

Accommodating 8 guests in 4 oversized king staterooms, Shogun is available for charter in Alaska this summer and in Mexico during winter. Charter rate from $69,000 per week, plus expenses.
