During a successful Open Day held at their yacht building facility in Vlissingen this weekend, Amels opened their doors to yachting enthusiasts and industry professionals to experience the inner shipyard operations first hand. Hereby Amels also revealed which projects are currently in build at their yard, and as we found out, there is certainly no shortage of work going around at this Dutch shipyard.
A total of 9 new build projects currently in-build means Amels are dealing with the largest combined gross tonnage in their yacht building history. Part of these projects is their largest build to date which is on track for a 2016 delivery. Other projects include two 180 Limited Editions as well as another model of the futuristic Amels 199, which is set to be delivered in 2017.
After welcoming nearly 4000 people to the facility on Saturday, Amels is already looking forward to hosting their next Open Day event in two years’ time.
