Redesigned 50m Westport 164 superyacht sold

American shipyard Westport Yachts has announced the sale of another hull from its successful W164 range in collaboration with Miles Yachts from Palm Beach. The 50-metre motor yacht showcases a restyled design, which was developed using cutting-edge 3D modelling technology that has also been employed in the aviation industry. The reimagined design of the recently sold Westport 164 yacht fulfils all of Westport Yachts and Miles Yachts’ targets in terms of speed, manoeuvrability, quality and class capability of the vessel, according to the yards. 

With a newly developed, advanced GRP hull design, the 492GT semi-displacement composite yacht intends to elevate guests’ cruising experience. Six cabins can accommodate up to 12 guests in utmost luxury, and an additional crew of 11, sleeping in six cabins, can ensure the comfort of her guests at all times.  Wesport W164 profile renderingPowered by twin diesel-fuelled MTU 16V 2000 M90 engines with 3,500 hp each, the 50-metre yacht can reach an impressive top speed of 25 knots and cruise at 22 knots. The vessel is currently undergoing her final construction phase and will soon commence sea trials before joining her first owner.
