Holland Jachtbouw has announced the signing of the contract for a 42-metre, semi-displacement motoryacht. This all-aluminium ‘gentlemen’s yacht’ will have a cruising speed of 15.5 knots, with exterior design and naval architecture by Langan Design. Her European cherry interior will come from the boards of Dick Young Designs. The yacht has been ordered by a repeat client with very specific demands in terms of customisation and quality, and no desire to compromise by taking the semi-custom or series yacht route. Scheduled for delivery in October 2009, the yacht will be built to Lloyds and MCA regulations. “The fact that this project will be built for an existing client is very satisfying,” comments Holland Jachtbouw Managing Director Paul Dielemans. “We are delighted when owners are so pleased with the quality and performance of their previous yacht that they choose to partner with us again.
