The 18th edition of Seatec, an exhibition of technology, components, design and subcontracting applied to yachting, will mark the occasion for the first-ever Rossinavi Design Challenge, with an award up for grabs for young designers of motor yachts under 500GT. Photo: Rossi NaviThe challenge was developed in cooperation with Seatec and the organisers of the Millennium Yacht Design Award (MYDA). The winner will be selected by a jury made up of Rossinavi’s managing director Federico Rossi and a group of journalists, designers, brokers and other key players in the nautical sector. Rossi comments that “using our knowledge of the market and our forty-year experience, we seek interaction with a creative new generation to discuss what the boats of tomorrow will be.”Photo: Rossi NaviAnyone can nominate themselves for this award. Model Maker Group, one of the challenge’s partners, will produce a scale model of the winning project, and all the necessary steps will be taken to get the project sold. The 18th edition of Seatec will take place in Carrara, Italy from 5 - 7 February 2020.
