William Bishop, Sales and New Construction Broker with YPI Brokerage, is today pleased to announce the Division’s latest exclusive CA - Royal Huisman’s iconic 40-meter William Tai.
Conceived as a world cruiser for an experienced yacht owner, no expense was too great when S/Y William Tai was built in 1997. Based upon the proven Hood design Anakena, William Tai’s relatively shoal centre board draft and balanced ketch rig, with twin engines, is an ideal cruising configuration.
Equipped with in-boom furling technology and proprietary equipment, William Tai has been continually upgraded and beautifully maintained. The current Owner's wish was that she should be ready for world cruising, without having to undergo any extensive service or refit periods for the foreseeable future.
"They have achieved this by taking the yacht back to the yard that built her," explains Will Bishop. "Going back to Royal Huisman has ensured her pedigree is maintained and the work undertaken to the yard's famously meticulous standards. William Tai is now in the best condition since her launch - a new Owner can be confident they will own a unique vessel of undisputed quality and grace."
The yacht has been extensively upgraded with a new teak deck, a complete repaint, fitted new interior and exterior upholstery as well as a complete service of all technical systems and rigging.
“She is now in her new livery of flag blue and oyster white," says Will, "completing her refit and dramatically enhancing her overall appearance.”
