Royal Huisman has unveiled new renderings for the 52-metre sportfishing superyacht, Project 406. The motor yacht is currently in-build and will be launched later this year.
Project 406 will be the world’s largest true sportfish yacht, with an impressive volume of 500 GT spanning six decks. The Dutch shipyard promises to deliver the most luxurious, finely appointed, meticulously-engineered sportfish yacht in the world.
Designed for an experienced owner, the superyacht will be outfitted for both sportfishing and personal use as a luxury motor yacht, with Vripack Yacht Design fully responsible for her design.
The work includes innovative features and components, such as laser-powered exterior lighting. The Alustar® aluminium hull, constructed by Royal Huisman’s in-house team of welders, offers strength and resilience. It also achieves the lighter weight that ensures a smooth and efficient passage to the fishing grounds.
Project 406’s distinctive design features a long bow and high bulwarks sweeping through a clear sheer to a low and uncluttered cockpit aft. Her high tower offers outstanding views with a downward angle on the water for specialised fishing, aided by the onboard equipment geared towards hunting larger predatory fish. She features a versatile sky lounge where sportfishing can be observed during the day, and can be transformed into a dining and lounge area at night.
