The Southern Wind shipyard has started construction on the 30.48-metre RP-Nauta 100 - a custom 63-ton carbon racer cruiser with a lifting keel. Nauta Design created the exterior and interior design of the new superyacht and worked with Reichel Pugh Yacht Design on the naval architecture and Gurit on the structural engineering. The team have previously worked together on several semi-custom series by Southern Wind and the recently launched custom SW-RP 90.Photo: Nauta Yachts Commissioned by an experienced yachtsman in 2017, the custom brief was for ‘a very fast performance cruiser with an aggressive and sporty look.’ With the intention of sailing the yacht for some years, the new yacht will be built with functionality for safe navigation and performance for racing in the most renowned superyacht regattas.
