The work of Nobiskrug Shipyard in Germany and designer Philippe Starck, Sailing Yacht A has become one of the most controversial yachts in the fleet with her radical exterior styling. Fitted with an advanced hybrid propulsion system, Sailing Yacht A’s impressive length and a beam of 24.8 metres together account for an internal volume of 12,558 GT, making her well and truly one of the largest yachts on the water today. The project’s naval architecture is that of Dykstra in the Netherlands while Magma Structures created the three masts on board which are said to be the tallest carbon composite free-standing masts in the world.
