Delivered to her experienced owner last year, represented by Derek Munro, designers Ken Freivokh Design, Nuvolari Lenard and Villate Design all played a significant role in Black Pearl’s design evolution. Dykstra Naval Architects designed Black Pearl’s three 70 meter DynaRig carbon masts and sailing system. The sail area is subdivided into smaller lesser-loaded sails and they can be set by a push of a button. According to Oceanco, all 2,900 square metres of sails can be set in just 7 minutes.Black Pearl sailing yacht by OceancoPhoto: Tom van OossanenBlack Pearl sailing yacht by OceancoPhoto: Tom van Oossanen

BMT Nigel Gee collaborated with Oceanco to create Black Pearl’s hybrid propulsion system as well as other onboard systems such as waste heat recovery. In addition, features such as her advanced DynaRig system, hybrid propulsion package and power regeneration mode when underway makes her one of the most innovative yachts on the water today.Black Pearl sailing yacht by OceancoPhoto: Tom van OossanenBlack Pearl sailing yacht by OceancoPhoto: Tom van OossanenIn addition to wind power, she is powered by 2 x 1080kW MTU’s / 2 x 400kW electrical propulsion motors. Her accommodations include a master suite, 2 VIP suites, 2 double guest cabins and a full-beam beach club that is convertible into a cinema.Black Pearl sailing yacht by OceancoPhoto: Tom van Oossanen
