Destination was relaunched yesterday to continue being repaired and refitted in the water, after being hoisted ashore six months ago to undergo one of the most complete refits that have been carried out this winter at STP.
The refit comprised repainting her whole hull and superstructure; repainting her mast and rebuilding her rig; changing the teak of her deck; and upgrading various on-board electronic systems. A comprehensive mechanical refit was also carried out. Mallorcan companies including Nautipaints, Modesty, RSB Rigging and Undercovers are taking part in this complex refit which, from today onwards, is continuing in the water.
The remarkable feature of this 41 m LOA, 8.5 m beam Dubois sailing yacht, built by Alloy Yachts International and sailing with a Cayman Islands flag, is her stability when plying through the water. Her interior woodwork is mahogany, and her cabins are of a size only seen in big yachts.
