Northrop & Johnson have announced the sale of Moonraker, the 78’ (24 metre) yacht built by Kelly Archer, New Zealand and with exterior designs by Van de Stadt. Simon J. Turner from Northrop & Johnson and Berthon UK were joint central agents on this deal. Dolphin Yachts presented the buyer.
Moonraker, previously named Martha E was custom built in New Zealand for unlimited worldwide cruising. The yacht was built to Lloyds hull construction certificate requirements HCC. Completed December 2000. Construction is aluminum, (welded marine grade) combining light weight and great strength. Despite its size the yacht is easily handled under sail and power.
The interior, designed by Andrew Winch, is pleasant, spacious and light. The joinery is beautifully crafted in Anagrea, a light honey coloured wood creating both light and warmth. She underwent a refit in 2006 and then again in 2009.
Moonraker was previously sold by Michael Nethersole of Northrop & Johnson in 2006.
