The 27.86-metre sailing yacht Sonny III has been donated to AMIkids of Tampa and has entered a three-year lease agreement, with the option to purchase the yacht, in benefit of the charity. The charitable agreement was organised with Andrew LeBuhn of Camper & Nicholsons and Hank Halstead of Northrop & Johnson.Sonny III sailing Photo: Billy BlackCommissioned by an owner who had a โ€œlifetime love affair with sailing,โ€ the custom yacht Sonny III was built in 2018 by Brooklin Boat Yard in Maine, featuring naval architecture and an exterior design from her builder. The classic sloop yacht was constructed with a wooden hull and superstructure. With a flush-deck outfitted from teak, carbon rig and raked bow, Sonny III was built for performance.Sonny III sailing Photo: Billy BlackSonny III Deck Photo: Billy BlackOn board, Sonny III can accommodate guests across an ownerโ€™s master stateroom as well as two guest cabins.
