This means that the amount of CO2 released into the air in the combustion process is equivalent to the amount removed from the environment to produce green methanol, allowing for a circular and completely carbon neutral system. Green methanol is therefore a good candidate for replacing more polluting substances such as ammonia, diesel or liquefied natural gas.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/311871/image/large-91b6d90eafa2f70d45e61ed863a67a6c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/311871">The HER (Hidden Engine Room) systemAt the heart of the newly launched 50Steel superyacht is a new, patented, interior configuration designed to accommodate the fuel cell system and complex technical areas without compromising the interior guest spaces. Rather than the traditional layout of two technical levels, there is a move to a horizontal development of the propulsion equipment and a new distribution of the technical area on the under lower technical deck, freeing up the lower deck for guest and crew areas.&nbsp;In this modified layout, an additional saloon has been created on the lower deck, where the engines would normally sit, coined the Ocean Lounge which is directly connected to the beach club with its swimming pool and extensive seating area. On the other side, the guest staterooms are connected to the gym and spa areas, offering a new level of connectivity on the lower deck. "The real challenge was to be able to interpret a boat that was extremely complex in terms of design while maintaining balance and simplicity of lines, a study aimed at simplifying features which gives harmony and balance to the eye of the beholder," explains Bernardo Zuccon, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/105" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Zuccon International Project (Company)">Zuccon International Project</a>. Her exterior is sleek and elegant despite her 499GT, with her large decks to aft and a tiered deck configuration to the fore that offers that yacht a sporty aesthetic.&nbsp;Ascending five steps from the Ocean Lounge, the guests reach the main deck and the heart of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/11733" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Almax49.99m (164'0&quot;)Sanlorenzo2024">Almax</a>, which consists of a large and spacious main saloon. The stairs, which have been designed to let the light filter through with glass sides, run through the interior of the yacht, connecting the different areas, from the gym and spa area on the lower deck to the second salon on the upper deck.
