Sanlorenzo has launched their second steel hulled superyacht, the Sanlorenzo 46 Steel Carol. The displacement tri-deck motor yacht measures 46 metres in length and she is the new flagship of Sanlorenzo’s fleet.
The well-balanced exterior lines have been conceived to give maximum light to the interior and are perfectly matching with the design philosophy underlying Sanlorenzo’s Navettas range. The 46 is in line with the two semi-displacement composite models from Sanlorenzo; the SD92 and the SD122.
The vast stern area houses the beach club which features a gym, spa, bathroom and entrance to the sea through a huge bathing platform. The beach club is accessible from the main aft deck, as well as from inside the main saloon. The full beam garage is situated in front of the beach club and is big enough to house a 20’ tender.
A special feature of the 46 Steel is the large tank deck, under the lower deck. On the tank deck a tunnel runs all the way from the stern to the bow. It houses the technical areas (stabilizer fins, bow-thruster and different systems) and the service areas (laundry room, with 3 washing machines and 3 driers, ironing board, and a refrigeration zone with freezers and cold storage rooms). The tank deck has also an additional access to the engine room.
Carol, with a gross tonnage of 499, is powered by twin 2,040hp Caterpillar 3512B which provide the superyacht with a maximum speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,000 nm at 12 knots.
