Sanlorenzo has unveiled the newest model in its Asymmetric series, the 27.6-metre SL90A, at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The SL90A has been added to the Asymmetric series, joining the flagship 36.92-metre SL120A and the 31.1-metre SL102A. The SL90A embodies the same core design aspect as her larger counterparts: asymmetry. By removing the port side deck, more space is dedicated to the main saloon and optimises the yacht's interior living spaces. The SL90A’s exterior design was penned by Bernardo Zuccon in collaboration with car designer Chris Bangle and Sanlorenzo’s in-house design team. Of the latest yacht in the Asymmetric series, designer Bernardo Zuccon remarks, “The spaces and fluxes of life on board have in fact been redesigned in a different key, offering the opportunity to perceive the sea from new and dynamic perspectives, which are constantly changing as you move around on board. This extension of the asymmetric range is today also a further affirmation of credibility not only from a design point of view, but also from a commercial point of view, demonstrating how research into lifestyle concepts is as topical as ever and able to positively influence the rationale of the market.”The SL90A accommodates as many as eight guests and is operated by a crew of three. Due to her innovative layout, the owner’s stateroom is situated on the main deck and has direct access to the yacht’s bow. The bow is connected to the fly bridge, which features a full-beam sundeck. Outfitted with twin MAN V12 diesel engines, she can reach a top speed of 29 knots and an economical cruising speed of 11 knots.
