SYT visited Dutch shipyard Wim van der Valk earlier this week, and stepped on board the 37 metre superyacht Santa Maria T. The yacht is in the final phase of outfitting, and will be delivered to her owners this summer.
Inside she features a highly detailed interior by Guido de Groot, who has chosen a classic art nouveau theme throughout and utilised special materials such as entandrophragma cylindricum sprague mahogany combined with mahogany crotch and madrona burl inlays.
She can easily accommodate up to 8 guests over four luxurious cabins, including the generous owner’s suite which is elegantly designed in a neutral colour scheme. The owner’s suite features a large private bathroom, spacious walk-in wardrobe area, efficient office space and an abundance of natural light through the several large windows. The whole area exudes a welcoming, homely, yet sophisticated area for the vessels owner’s to relax in the utmost comfort and style.
One Santa Maria T's unique features is her new anti-roll damping system by DMS, a patented roll damping system for superyachts, which works with a unique, dual-axis fin stabilizer, which rotates whilst sailing and flaps at anchor. The high-aspect ratio fin significantly reduces drag by between 50 and 75 percent whilst sailing.
