Sea Level Yacht Design 80m superyacht concept

Design

The latest 80 metre superyacht concept to come from the drawing boards of the Dutch studio Sea Level Yacht Design is the CF8 motor yacht. A bold new design, CF8 stands for ‘Cars and Family in 80 metres’, with the concept created with a certain type of owner in mind who typically enjoys innovative new designs and requires ample storage for a luxury car collection.

Unlike traditional motor yachts, the hull and superstructure are inextricably linked to one another, with the downward line from the aft upper part of the hull towards the bow giving her a unique aerodynamic shape.

Another interesting design element is the curved centre, which brings a shape that is visually carried by the outer shape. Design Director Jeroen van der Knaap elaborates: “For this element Sea Level found inspiration in the showroom of Louwman Exclusive Cars in the Netherlands. This showroom is captured in a remarkable five kilometres long sound barrier along the highway, built out of glass panels. A centre volume with a skin built out of glass would give Sea Level a great opportunity to bring light into the living spaces and a unique chance to accommodate a car collection that can be admired by people passing by.

On board she will provide accommodation for up to 12 guests over eight luxurious VIP cabins complete with en-suite facilities and walk-in wardrobes. The owner’s suite is located on the owner’s deck, including 250 square metres of private deck space - in which an eight person Jacuzzi is also found - to ensure the utmost privacy on board. A crew of 18 are also accommodated for.

An impressive amount of space has been dedicated to the aforementioned car showroom, housing up to eight of the finest luxury cars and measuring 100 square metres in total. An additional attractive feature is found on the main deck, where a 16 metre wide open space immediately welcomes guests on board and provides an ideal area for relaxation and entertainment.

Other amenities on board include a large swimming pool which can be transformed into a dance floor, a helipad, a wellness area including a sauna, a fully equipped gym, a stage just forward of the swimming pool, and a cinema.

In regards to her performance, she will boast a top speed of 18 knots, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles. In addition to her dedicated car showroom, she will also offer over 200 square metres of storage space for tenders and toys, including two 10 metre tenders, four Waverunners, and a DeepFlight Dragon personal submarine.
