Seasense, Galassi, FLIBS: Inside the latest issue of the SuperYacht Times

The latest issue of the SuperYacht Times newspaper is out now. We’ve had a busy few weeks at SuperYacht Times since our last Monaco-special issue, with the whole team attending both the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows, and a number of exciting developments revealed.

Probably the most noticeable development to our readers will be the completely revamped SuperYachtTimes.com, with a fresh new design and several new features. As part of our rebranding process, SuperYacht Company has also made some big steps into video content, creating several vlog-style videos during our time at this Monaco’s Yacht Show. One man who certainly agrees with a push towards an increased focus on digital growth in our business is Mr Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group. We managed to steal an hour of Galassi’s time in Monaco this year, who warmly welcomed SYT on board CRN’s impressive 74-metre Cloud 9. A warm, sophisticated, all-round-cool guy, Galassi shares some interesting insights into the daily processes and the future of one of the industry’s most important companies, as well as reveals the social media sale that turned his view on digital growth upside down.

From one Italian yacht to another, inside this issue we also sit down with Mr Charles S. Cohen, the New york real estate magnate and proud owner of Benetti’s latest superyacht, Seasense. Quite the step up from their previous 92’ Riva, we caught up with Cohen and his wife in Nice, where the couple gave us a candid insight into what the delivery of their new 67-metre home on the sea means to them.

With FLIBS scheduled to kick off next week, issue 18 takes a look at some of our favourite boats at this year’s show, as well as talk to Charlie McCurdy, President and CEO of Informa’s Global Exhibitions division, who discusses some of the major changes we can expect to see at the Fort Lauderdale event following the change of ownership earlier this year.

This issue marks the very last edition of the year for SuperYacht Times. In 2018 we will have more exciting developments for you, and will kick off the year with a bigger, better edition of the newspaper. Until then, make sure you subscribe to receive your copy of the latest issue straight to your door.
