Sanlorenzo have just announced that the second unit of the 57Steel series has been sold by the Italian shipyard in collaboration with Fraser. Currently, three units of the series are in build.The 56.6-metre superyacht is expected for delivery in 2023. She bears clean exterior lines and a vertical bow, penned by Zuccon International Project. Her naval architecture was completed by her builder and her interior is the work of Piero Lissoni.
The 57Steel features an untraditional layout in which her wheelhouse has been relocated from its usual location on the upper deck forward to its own dedicated deck. This has allowed the builder and her designers to repurpose the space for a spacious 54 square-metre owner’s quarters complete with its own private deck. A total of 12 guests can be accommodated across six staterooms, which includes a full-beam VIP stateroom on the main deck forward.Signature to the 57Steel series, is an expansive 110 square-metre beach club area, located on the lower deck aft. Foldout doors at her stern, port and starboard provide an open air space. Her tender garage, which can store tenders of up-to 7.5-metres, has been placed at her bow. Her glass-bottomed pool located on the main deck allows natural light to pour into the space below.The 57Steel can be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system. With her standard Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines, she can reach a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12.5 knots. She has a range of 4,000 nautical miles while cruising at 11 knots.
