Sigmund unveils 60m superyacht concept

The first of a number of new superyacht designs for 2015 from the Austrian design company Sigmund Yacht Design is a 60 metre explorer yacht named Excalibur. The hull has been approved by leading independent marine engineering design consultancy, BMT Nigel Gee.

Director of Sigmund Yacht Design, Peter Symonds, comments, “The design is a result of form following function and being a highly functional yacht makes Excalibur a superyacht full of form. Sleek, clean and balanced are themes found inside and out and set the vessel apart from contemporaries.”

Amongst her many features will be a helicopter landing pad and an open deck swimming pool. Vast windows throughout the yacht will ensure interiors are filled with natural light as well as providing spectacular views to enhance the ‘explorer experience’. She will have a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
