Her solar hardtop is also designed to slide out in two sections revealing a touch-and-go helipad. When not in use, the upper sun deck can be used for sunbathing.Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderingsPhoto: Silent-YachtsThe Silent 120 Explorer yacht offers her future owners the opportunity to travel further with a potentially unlimited range. She is equipped with solar panels on her roof, with the addition of back-up generators for fast running. As a result of this, she is able to cruise at a comfortable eight knots and can reach a top speed of 16 knots.Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderingsPhoto: Silent-YachtsSilent-Yachts has also collaborated with VRCO and U-Boat Worx to offer both aircraft and submarines for the new Silent 120 Explorer. Her catamaran hull form, combined with her compact electric propulsion units offers significant space that enables the yacht to carry both a revolutionary eVTOL aircraft and an all-electric two person submarine. As well as this, she has the ability to carry all the usual tenders and toys demanded on a superyacht.Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderingsPhoto: Silent-Yachts“We build catamarans, which means more beam and more space,” commented Michael Köhler, founder and CEO of Silent-Yachts. “We also build our boats with solar power and electric propulsion, and that means we don’t have to give a lot of space to an engine room, which means we gain room for things like a gym or extra tender storage.” Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderingsPhoto: Silent-YachtsSilent-Yachts’ partnership with VRCO marks the first time a yacht builder and an aircraft manufacturer have collaborated, with the XP4 aircraft being customised to match the interiors of the Silent 120 Explorer. The XP4 can be landed on the roof of the yacht where large solar panels will slide outboard to port and starboard to reveal a touch-and-go landing pad.Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderings with XP4 aircraftPhoto: Silent-Yachts“The trend is for bigger yachts and more luxury, more comfort, more water toys and more possibilities. We have designed a boat that is bigger in volume although not in length, and bigger gives the opportunity to store more of these toys,” concluded Michael Köhler.Silent 120 Explorer yacht renderingsPhoto: Silent-Yachts
