The new sail plan, full in carbon, will ensure comfort and sailing performance through the use of Perini Navi's "sail handling system".The 77-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a> sailing yacht will also be the first vessel to install the legendary Falcon Rig. The sailing yacht will have two masts to aid with navigation and safety and will feature an electro-hydraulic mast-sail management system. TISG presents the new 48-77m Perini Navi sailing yacht fleet Genesis

The new Seadeck series from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> is a range of family-oriented hybrid motoryachts that the Italian brand says will reduce C02 emissions by up to 40 percent over a year of average use compared to a traditional flybridge boat of similar dimensions. Comprising a 60-, 70- and 80-foot model, the first 60-foot unit will debut in 2024.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261627/image/large-c9675d1f425a7d267c9e9fc604eec811.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261627">From a technological standpoint, the Seadeck series is the culmination of Azimut’s 20-year drive to implement sustainable innovations. Over half of Azimut’s fleet is now made up of what the Italian builder terms Low Emission Yachts that reduce CO2 emissions ahead of the IMO’s 2030 deadline through a combination of three factors: weight reduction by extensive use of carbon fibre, efficient hull design and hybrid propulsion systems. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261625/image/large-df9cf516adca64bad1766415ca5f1516.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261625">“When we started work on the Seadeck project we asked ourselves what were the necessities required by more environmentally-conscious yachtsmen,” says Federico Lantero, head of product design at Azimut Yachts, during a press presentation in Milan under the slogan ‘Back to Nature’. “We identified three key points: we definitely had to reduce emissions; we had to introduce more sustainable materials; and we had to create a boat designed for family cruising that allowed those on board to enjoy the sea in a very direct and authentic way.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261626/image/large-a9f9acdbf1b90d13e73ac801ca8528fc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261626">In fact, the Seadeck will be powered by a Volvo Penta IPS hybrid system to target a 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption, over 40 per of the surface areas will be constructed of carbon fibre, and the planing hulls will be the most efficient ever built by Azimut. In Zero Emission Hotel Mode a battery pack will provide electrical power for amenities, stabilisation and even AC, for up 4 hours at anchor during the day or 8 hours at night with the generators switched off.Other eco-friendly features include solar panels to supplement the battery pack, hot water provided by recovering thermal energy from the main engines, &nbsp;and environmentally-friendly cork for the decking in place of teak. &nbsp;A smart energy management system ensures that in Eco Mode all the appliances and onboard systems consume as little energy as possible. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261632/image/large-ea91b1a36b62d9b7b03edbeed9c8cd0e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261632">Moreover, the new series introduces a new design concept in open-air living: the Fun Island, a space re-invented to offer a new way to spend family time on board immersed in nature. South Africa-based yacht builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/151" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Southern Wind (Company)">Southern Wind</a> has unveiled the first renderings for its 30.48-metre sailing yacht concept SW100X. Construction began on the superyacht in 2020 as a speculation project and the hull was first seen in August 2022. The sold <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2612" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Otam (Company)">OTAM</a> yacht has an expected delivery in 2025.&nbsp;The owner, who is not just “an expert owner but also has experience as a captain,” supplied the Genoa-based shipyard with customised specifications, including expansive windows to envelope the boat with natural light and a “detailed list of technical and aesthetic requests.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263522/image/large-77da9293d81bfb2529b9c143f8a9323d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263522">The custom-built 80HT comprises a hull and deck, which will be laminated in full Kevlar, while the superstructure is constructed from carbon fibre. During the late 2010s <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/899" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Silver Yachts (Company)">SilverYachts</a> changed course and responded to a new market demand – rugged, go-anywhere exploration – and the yard fully utilised its no-nonsense approach. In 2019 it launched one of the most iconic superyachts of the decade: the 85.3-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6018" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Bold85.3m (279'10&quot;)Silver Yachts2019">Bold</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/187254/image/large-a7635d0a14a19de89142821d5c1d47ac.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/187254">The superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6018" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Bold85.3m (279'10&quot;)Silver Yachts2019">Bold</a> caused quite the stir and the Australian shipyard is gearing up to launch the second unit from the series, the 85-metre Globalfast, with a delivery date slated for October of this year. However, even though <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/899" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Silver Yachts (Company)">SilverYachts</a> has seen success with these major monohull projects, and currently has a design for a 79.5-metre superyacht on the market, Silver Edge, the shipyard is on a new trajectory: catamarans. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/172379/image/large-f14ce4a39b9d91d29dcbf2d550c9e0f2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/172379"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/172380/image/large-d5c418aeba13d3d07ad901ff806bc2d4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/172380">“Most clients choose volume over speed and efficiency, so our superyacht range is pretty niche,” Toonen confessed. “The image of superyachts portrayed through social media is also becoming increasingly critical. With growing demands for bigger and better, they’re becoming unsustainable – and they’re getting slammed online because of it.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/221630/image/large-79ec0f5d2d55daaa9d5f2a1e78b66d0c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/221630">The market is reflective of this cultural change around yachting and multihull builders have been going from strength-to-strength. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Øino International (Company)">Espen Øino</a> anticipated this shift, and his foresight seems to be bang on the money. It’s <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Øino International (Company)">Øino</a> behind the design of this new directive of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/899" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Silver Yachts (Company)">SilverYachts</a>, as the Monaco-based studio penned the design for the SpaceCat series.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/119386/image/large-25e4bac6ef5b341b9842edf948234b21.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119386">Toonen explained the ethos of the series: “The basic idea was to design a large floating platform with accommodation; the logical move was then catamarans. Two slim hulls joined together creating space. Rather than buying one large superyacht, our clients can purchase several SpaceCats that they can dot around the world. The second hull from the series will follow the first as she’ll be built in China, however the third will be built at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/899" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Silver Yachts (Company)">SilverYachts</a>’ facilities in Australia.&nbsp;The SpaceCat series will also expand with a 24-metre model.

She features a main deck with a certified helideck and hanger, and has plenty of tender and toy storage. Globalfast also features fold-out bulwarks that expand her aft deck for larger events. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/240531/image/large-d3bd6d973c5dca1059bec1af4989f9b3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/240531">The 1,504 GT superyacht can accommodate as many as 18 guests with seven guest staterooms located on the main deck.
