Simpson Marine yacht charter focus on Asia

Simpson Marine, one of Asia's best known yacht sales, charter and brokerage organisations, has announced plans to relocate its luxury yacht charter business from Monaco to South East Asia.

Mike Simpson, Managing Director of Simpson Marine, says the decision to focus the company's luxury yacht charter operations in Langkawi and Phuket reflects the growing demand for luxury yacht charters in Asia and follows a successful 'Visit Asia' campaign which Simpson Marine has been promoting in Europe since the opening of the Monaco Office in 2003.

"Simpson Marine is an established brand in Asia, and with seven offices around the region, we are in a strong position to drive the growth of luxury yacht charter in this part of the world. Our Langkawi and Phuket offices are well established and the ideal base for our yacht charter operations. We are excited at the prospect of Asia becoming the next mainstream luxury yacht charter destination. It has stunning coastal scenery, with enough tropical islands, white sand beaches and crystal clear seas to satisfy the most seasoned charterer - with the added interest of smiling friendly local people and fascinating local culture. There are also now several world class marinas and repair facilities to cater for the needs of superyachts."

According to Mike Simpson, "the relocation process to Southeast Asia will be a smooth transition and the luxury yacht charter operation will continue 'business as usual' from Langkawi and Phuket. Simpson Marine will continue to represent all our central yacht charter listings and will offer full charter services."

The relocation of the Simpson Marine yacht charter office from Monaco follows Phuket's new status as 'Asia's Maritime Capital' a title it was awarded at the recent Christofle Asia Pacific Boating Awards in April 2007.
