For the past three years, during the high season, the 32 berths are constantly busy and it’s never quiet in the port - there is always something to do, someone to help, or a next event to organise.&nbsp;As <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2818" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Port Tarraco (Company)">Port Tarraco</a> continues to grow, the challenge lies not only in meeting the increased operational demands, but also in preserving the company culture. With 24-hour surveillance and glass walls surrounding the entire premise, guests can feel safe and secure, as well as controlled dock access. It is in the main saloon, the guest cabins, the owner’s suite and even the outdoor areas. We already had the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> iPad and iPhone applications, which work very well for personal use. But Apple TV brings <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> to the shared screen in a way that feels natural, familiar and easy.Guests can sit down, open <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> and immediately see the itinerary, weather, menus, yacht information, crew profiles, tenders, water toys, bridge data and nearby yachts. Apple TV is not simply about showing the same content on a bigger screen. It creates a different kind of interaction.The TV is often the most visible screen onboard, so it gives guests a very natural way to explore the itinerary, the yacht, the surroundings and everything available to them. For us as a product team, this launch also unlocks a lot of potential. What time are we leaving? What is the plan today? What is for dinner? Where are we? Which yacht is anchored next to us? Where is the crew from? What water toys do we have?Crew are there to create an amazing experience, not to answer the same basic questions over and over again. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> helps by making that information easy to find and beautiful to look at.&nbsp;It is not about replacing personal service. It is about supporting it.From a development point of view, what was important when building the Apple TV app?Irmin Dzevlan, tvOS Developer: The biggest thing was making it feel native to Apple TV. You cannot just take an iPad interface and put it on a television. The interaction is different, the pace is different and the screen is viewed differently.We focused on making the experience clear, smooth and visually strong. Guests should not feel like they are navigating software. The app should feel effortless: open it, browse, understand where you are, and enjoy the content.The details matter a lot. How the menu moves, how quickly information loads, how readable everything is from across the room. Those things define whether it feels premium or not.<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a>&nbsp;is already used on more than 100 yachts. How do you keep the product personal for each vessel? Daniel: Every yacht has its own way of working. Our role is to help the crew make <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> useful for their yacht in the most natural way possible. The platform should not become extra work. It should make things easier. We help and advice the crew to go digital where updates are instant, often even automatically, and where printing becomes old school.&nbsp;That starts with proper onboarding, clear content setup, crew training and regular contact with the team onboard. When <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a> is set up well, guests understand it immediately and crew know how to keep it fresh.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/395396/image/large-191ee5bf3fa95fb954e178b7679240fb.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/395396">What kind of content do guests usually engage with most?Daniel: Guests love knowing what is happening and where they are going, so itinerary information and the daily schedule are certainly crucial for most yachts.The Yacht Radar, showing nearby yachts with interior and exterior images as well ad detailed information, is another feature people enjoy because it makes the anchorage come alive.&nbsp;And crew profiles are great because they make the experience more personal. Guests often want to know who is looking after them.The point is not to overwhelm guests with information. The point is to bring together the information they actually care about, in a way that is easy to explore.Where do you see onboard guest technology going?Daniel: I think the best yacht technology will become less visible as “technology”. It should just work. It should feel natural. Guests should not need instructions.People are used to very polished digital experiences in their normal life. When they step onboard a superyacht, expectations are even higher. But the solution is not to make things complicated. It is to make the right things simple.That is what we are trying to do with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7736" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YachtEye (Company)">YachtEye</a>. As demand for larger, more efficient and environmentally conscious yachts continues to accelerate, catamaran specialist <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef Yachts</a> has positioned itself at the centre of the sector’s evolution. From the development of its new ULTIMA range to advancing solar-powered and near-zero-emission cruising technologies, the Polish shipyard is reshaping expectations of what a luxury multihull can deliver. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/393756/image/large-4ec8dde4d4c215d0156df3e50b608098.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/393756">Speaking about the future of catamaran superyachts, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> co-founder and CTO Nicolas Lapp outlined how changing owner priorities are influencing everything from propulsion systems and onboard comfort to material selection and artificial intelligence-driven sailing technologies.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/394038/image/large-de1683fdbf2981d69e7999ae8abad7d2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/394038">A new direction for performance catamaransAccording to Lapp, the ULTIMA range was born directly from client demand for greater speed and a more engaging cruising experience, while retaining the spaciousness and comfort associated with multihulls.“The ULTIMA range is really a response to what our clients were asking for,” explained Lapp. “They love the comfort and space of our catamarans, but many wanted more performance, more speed and a more dynamic experience underway.”“With ULTIMA, the goal was to combine the best of both worlds: the liveability of a catamaran with the performance closer to a monohull.” To achieve this, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> developed a sleeker hull architecture combined with carefully optimised propulsion systems designed to improve both efficiency and speed. The first ULTIMA 88 is capable of reaching 26 knots, with additional engine configurations planned for future models.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/394028/image/large-7971dab87ae7b5ead04551be001adcea.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/394028">“The first ULTIMA 88 reaches 26 knots, but soon you will also see new engine configurations that will allow for even higher performance depending on owner preferences,” he added.Balancing speed, efficiency and comfort, however, presented a significant engineering challenge for the shipyard. “The platform is quite different from classic Sunreef catamarans, so it required a fresh approach on multiple levels,” said Lapp.One of the most notable developments was the introduction of stabilisation systems for the first time within the range. “For the first time, we introduced stabilisers,” he explained. “With this new architecture, it became essential to ensure the same level of onboard comfort our clients expect. Selecting the right system was a challenge in itself, but we found a stabilisation solution that fits the ULTIMA 88 perfectly and performs exceptionally well.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/243904/image/large-7cd5c4f3256f9a5d0cbf4de4230e2297.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/243904">The growing appeal of catamaran superyachtsLapp believes the wider superyacht market is increasingly recognising the inherent advantages of multihull platforms, particularly as owner priorities shift toward efficiency, practicality and understated luxury. “Catamaran superyachts are currently one of the strongest and most exciting trends in the market,” he noted. “From the very beginning <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> has focused on combining superyacht quality with the catamaran platform.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/394065/image/large-66926bacf337b76a2728b4cd517b6ddc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/394065">Projects such as the 100 Sunreef Power, Sunreef 37M Eco and the 43M Eco illustrate how these changing expectations are influencing both technical development and interior design philosophy. “In terms of interiors, there’s a strong shift toward more spacious, calming environments – soft colors, a more ‘zen’ atmosphere,” Lapp said. “It’s less about ostentation and more about understated, refined luxury.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/217059/image/large-12e630eaaf8f68845b8e70c05748ce14.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/217059">At the same time, owners are becoming increasingly conscious of operational efficiency and environmental impact. “Energy efficiency and sustainability have become key considerations,” he explained. “Owners are increasingly aware of how their yachts operate and are looking for smarter, more responsible solutions.”Lapp also highlighted the practical benefits catamarans offer over traditional monohulls, particularly in terms of volume and energy efficiency. “The most obvious advantage is space,” he said. “The wider beam allows for much larger, open living areas, both inside and outside. This width also gives us a more usable surface for solar integration, which directly supports our energy strategy.” In addition to larger onboard spaces, catamarans benefit from shallower drafts and more efficient hull dynamics. “They require less energy to move through the water,” Lapp explained. “The engineering approach is different, but the payoff is significant: more volume and better (Company)">Sunreef</a>’s long-term strategy, with the shipyard continuing to expand its portfolio of electric and hybrid-powered yachts.“We take a 360-degree approach to eco-conscious yachting,” said Lapp. “It’s not about a single technology, but how different systems work together.” Among the most impactful developments are the integration of solar panels, advanced battery systems and energy-efficient air conditioning technologies, all aimed at significantly reducing generator dependency. “This allows yachts to significantly reduce generator use,” he noted.On sailing catamarans, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is also incorporating hydroregeneration systems capable of producing electricity from the movement of the propellers under sail. “With the right setup and navigation profile, this combination can bring the yacht very close to zero-emission operation in real conditions,” Lapp explained.&nbsp;Solar integration itself has become a defining element of the shipyard’s design philosophy. “What makes our solution different is that the panels are not just added on – they’re fully integrated into the yacht’s structure,” he said. “The hull sides, superstructure, bimini, even masts in some cases.”By maximising available surface area for energy generation, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is able to reduce reliance on conventional onboard power systems. “Instead of relying on generators, we can cover up to 100% of the hotel load directly from solar energy,” Lapp revealed. “When it comes to cruising, with the right navigation profile, like island hopping and smart energy management, it’s possible to navigate using close to zero fuel.”<img multihullsAlongside propulsion and energy systems, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is also investing heavily in advanced materials aimed at improving both performance and sustainability. “For example, we use recycled PET foam made from plastic bottles,” said Lapp. “Beyond being sustainable, it helps reduce weight, which improves overall yacht efficiency and performance.”The shipyard is additionally replacing traditional plywood structures in certain areas with lighter PET-based alternatives, while exploring natural composite materials such as flax fibre. “We’re also introducing materials like flax fiber, which offer similar properties to composites but come from natural, low-impact sources,” he added.Looking ahead, Lapp believes artificial intelligence and automation will play a defining role in the future of large sailing catamarans. “One of the most exciting directions for large multihull yachts is definitely the evolution of sailing itself,” he said.<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is currently developing systems intended to simplify and automate sailing operations through AI-assisted sail handling, route optimisation and energy management. “The idea is to make full use of AI, not just for sail handling, but also for route optimisation and overall energy efficiency,” Lapp explained. “It’s about making advanced sailing performance more accessible and easier to manage, even on larger yachts.” While details remain limited, he hinted that the shipyard will soon unveil further developments in this area.<img continues to adapt technologies already proven on smaller platforms for use aboard superyachts. “<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is today the most active shipyard when it comes to implementing electric and eco solutions across the entire range, from mid-size yachts to superyachts,” said Lapp.Projects currently under construction, including the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> 100 Eco and 43M Eco, represent what the shipyard sees as the next stage in sustainable yachting. “In many ways, scaling these solutions is a natural step for us,” he explained. “We’re building on technologies that are already tested and proven, and adapting them for larger platforms through a dedicated superyacht team.”Ultimately, Lapp believes the perception of superyachts themselves is beginning to change. “They don’t have to be associated with high emissions,” he concluded. “They can just as well stand for energy efficiency and responsible innovation.”

<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">The Italian Sea Group (TISG)</a> has announced that the Court of Florence has partially lifted protective measures for five shipowners, following the company's ongoing negotiated crisis settlement procedure.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/367061/image/large-152c0f12c19271f70607c9687ef33098.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/367061">On 16 March, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">TISG</a> announced that it had initiated a negotiated settlement procedure under Italian Legislative Decree No. 14/2019, following internal financial irregularities. This legal framework aimed to enable them to restructure, while continuing to operate under the supervision of an independent expert.Following this, on 20 April, the Court of Florence granted protective measures for a maximum period of four months, restricting creditors from initiating or continuing enforcement actions against the company’s assets, including vessels currently under construction.The court also confirmed that these protective measures extended to shipowners, which prevented them from terminating their contracts of yachts currently under construction during the proceedings.The Court of Florence has now issued an order upholding the appeals filed by five shipowners which prevented them terminating their contracts. (Company)">Hoek Design</a> partners Andre Hoek and Ruurt Meulemans translated the client’s admiration for the retro-influenced yacht into a more compact platform that would echo the same timeless elegance free of nostalgic mimicry, while embracing modern technology and efficiency. The owner’s exacting brief included full wheelchair accessibility, an elevator connecting all deck levels, and transatlantic capability.“The hull and superstructure were conceived to balance classic proportions with today’s efficient hydrodynamics,” says Ruurt Meulemans. “Computational fluid dynamics [CFD] analysis informed every curve, refining the bow shape and optimising volume distribution to reduce resistance as much as possible and improve wake flow to the twin propellers. The objective was a smooth, efficient ride across a transatlantic cruising envelope of close to 4,000 nautical miles – no small achievement for a vessel under 400 gross tons.“<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396218/image/large-f219694742e3fedf1f00ff2c0b5c4003.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396218">Meeting these requirements called for some clever engineering based on robust, proven solutions. Finite element analysis (FEA) guided the placement of bulkheads, stringers, and the keel to ensure structural integrity under long passages without compromising interior volume. The challenge was compounded by hybrid-assisted propulsion comprising twin 1,000-hp MAN diesel engines paired with electric motors and supported by a lithium-ion battery bank.The system integrated by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/3869" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Eekels Technology BV (Company)">Eekels Technology</a> allows for flexible operational modes. Electric mode provides a few hours of silent propulsion at low speed, ideal for manoeuvring in harbours or environmentally sensitive zones. In diesel mode the electric motors can function as shaft generators to reduce fuel burn on extended passages. The electric motors also add redundancy for additional peace of mind far from home. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/40" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Royal Hakvoort Shipyard (Company)">Royal Hakvoort</a> had direct experience of the latter: during sea trials of 61-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/8621" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Asia61.0m (200'2&quot;)Royal Hakvoort Shipyard2024">Asia</a>, an electrical fault caused an engine shutdown, but the gearbox-mounted e-motors allowed the crew to manoeuvre safely away from an offshore wind farm.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396210/image/large-bfbd4613c1cb6d84c9fb37fa9b5d37a0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396210">The battle for spaceA signature feature of the yacht is the continuous ribbon of wraparound glazing on the main and bridge decks – 17 tonnes of it. The bulwarks are also glass and the hull windows incorporate a dot-fade pattern that blends with the white hull from a distance. Combined with the classic sheer line and bronze-metallic funnel, the green-tinted glass adds a touch of understated elegance that hints at an era that never quite existed – but should have. The wheelhouse windows are not full-height, but the aluminium surfaces beneath will be clad with glass and the same green reflective finish to create the visual effect of uninterrupted glass.&nbsp;Extensive glazing has a downside, however: heat. Solar load becomes a critical issue, especially for a yacht destined for hot climates. One option is to increase HVAC capacity, but a smarter one is to engineer better insulation. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/40" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Royal Hakvoort Shipyard (Company)">Hakvoort</a> chose the latter. A two-year development programme with glass specialist Royal-Maritiem sought the ideal balance of solar control, privacy, clarity, structural strength, and colour uniformity. Each double-glazed laminated pane is filled with argon gas and coated with a low-emissivity metal film tuned to deliver the desired green tint. The result is a 50 precent reduction in heat transfer compared to conventional marine glass.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396219/image/large-043a6cfbb4c2ee18f77e9eca62c4d295.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396219">But heat is not the only issue. Full-height windows also eliminate the storage units and hidden cavities normally used to route ducting, wiring, and AC trunking, pushing the technical infrastructure inward. As a result, space became the defining constraint and the build team had to fight for every cubic centimetre. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/33" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Hoek Design Naval Architects B.V. (Company)">Hoek Design</a> has deep experience of designing sailboats where space is always at a premium, but it was up to the shipyard to find ways to integrate complex systems into tight envelopes.“Nothing fitted, so we had to make it fit,” says Klaas, which could be the unofficial motto of the project. “By the time everything is installed, the engine room will be very full, but accessible and maintainable. Not cluttered – engineered.”The electrical switchboards span the full height of the engine from port to starboard across, an unavoidable result of the hybrid system. The engine room itself relies on seawater-fed heat exchangers because there wasn’t room for conventional air-cooling systems. The pool doubles as a tender bay with a dump tank and its own dedicated crane compartment that closes flush with the teak deck. Under the sunbed on the foredeck is a two-storey garage for the crew tender and a pair of PWCs. Add the elevator, wider side decks and interior passages sized for wheelchair access, and every available every void had to serve a purpose.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396209/image/large-486995c89e482f3860ee5f1204771fb6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396209">Hidden in plain sightThe metallic bronze faux funnel is more than a charming styling cue; it also highlights the kind of engineering concealment that defines the whole project. Since the yacht has underwater exhausts, there was no need for a traditional dry stack – nor was there space to route ducting up to one. Instead, the funnel became the home of the fresh-air unit that draws in and purifies outside air for the HVAC system. Fitting it inside that tight volume meant some early design assumptions had to be reworked.&nbsp;Routing the air quietly around the yacht from high up in the vessel posed further challenges. The onboard noise targets are uncompromising and the owner’s suite is engineered for a harbour maximum of 44 decibels, although <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/40" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Royal Hakvoort Shipyard (Company)">Hakvoort</a> typically achieves lower. Underway, the expected levels sit in the low 50s – quiet enough that the only audible sound should be the soft splash of water along the hull. Modern superyachts achieve such low mechanical noise levels that airflow has become the primary acoustic concern, not the engines or generators.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396212/image/large-a2aeb88e2ca030f7dc36a4bed74abb21.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396212">“You won’t hear machinery these days – you’ll hear air moving through the ducting,” confirms Klaas. “That’s why we focus obsessively on silencing ducts, bends and terminations.”Consider the HVAC ducting for the crew quarters. To reach the lower deck forward, it has to pass under the bed in the owner’s stateroom, negotiating several dog-leg bends in the process. Air accelerates noisily through tight turns due to mass conservation and pressure shifts, so the yard routinely uses flexible elbow sections with larger diameters and internal damping to reduce turbulence and suppress sound. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396214/image/large-892daf254a9606fb0d0d5fed5e58dda4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396214">Elegance with an edgeThe aluminium superstructure was built at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5231" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alu-bouw Fryslân BV (Company)">Alubouw Fryslan</a> in Franeker and joined to the steel hull at Buijs Shipyard – the hull builder – before being towed to Monnickendam, but <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/40" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Royal Hakvoort Shipyard (Company)">Royal Hakvoort</a> has its own joinery division and stainless-steel department that produce most of the fixed furniture and deck hardware in-house. Klaas points out the custom-engineered hinges used for the exterior doors as an example of the shipyard’s hands-on approach. During development, these hinges were tested in the most practical way imaginable: by suspending 40 kg weights to a toilet door heavily used by shop-floor workers. Any weaknesses that surfaced were corrected before installation.&nbsp;Another example is the aluminium hull platform that folds out from the topsides amidships and connects to the main deck by way of a boarding ladder for tender access. The platform being assembled in the metalworking department uses a hydraulic rotary or slew drive – more compact than conventional rams and able to generate high torque in tight spaces, it is a solution that has been refined by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/40" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Royal Hakvoort Shipyard (Company)">Royal Hakvoort</a> over years of building canoe-stern vessels.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396211/image/large-9d9af2d4a7ba3a495473f7ac81ad923c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396211">Although capable of crossing the Atlantic, YB256 will primarily be used for short, comfortable runs with the frequent returns to port and high hospitality demands typical of most operational profiles. Every aspect of the interior has been conceived with wheelchair accessibility in mind, including a transformer-style platform in the stern. Guest and crew flows remain fully separated, which is not always the case on yachts of this size. The lower deck houses two full-beam VIP suites arranged around the main lobby and elevator; a third space will be used as an office/gym with a built-in recess for a running machine. The bridge deck is reserved for the owner’s sky lounge, while the captain’s cabin has been relocated to the lower deck. Crew areas have been configured to maximise discretion and operational efficiency with service and storage areas scaled to support day-use cruising.After touring the shipyard and the yacht, the lasting impression is that YB256 is not just a modern yacht in retro clothing. It is a study in constraint-driven design and smart engineering by a shipyard for whom “custom” is a vocation, not a marketing term. Initial works focused on a redesigned stern arrangement, a full repaint and a series of technical upgrades. Throughout the yacht, electrical systems were checked and upgraded, with new alarm, monitoring and power management systems fitted. The HVAC system was completely replaced, including new chillers, air handling units and fan coils.&nbsp;Guest and crew areas were also refreshed, including refurbished staterooms, restored marble surfaces, new blinds and updated interior finishes throughout. On deck, new teak was laid across most exterior areas. Key running gear was serviced and overhauled, including steering, shafts, bow thruster and rudders. Cold storage systems were renewed, diving equipment improved, tanks and technical rooms repainted, and her underwater hull coating fully redone after sandblasting.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/396850/image/large-75c81ae7c7f8ec276ac58002cfd81609.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/396850">The works carried out in her engine room and technical spaces were also substantial. Main engines and gearboxes were overhauled, two new generators installed, and core onboard systems replaced or upgraded. This included water production, ventilation, tank systems, sewage treatment, heating, freshwater distribution and fuel handling.
