Continuing on from the SL102 asymmetrical yacht concept released last year, Sanlorenzo has created the new 29.1-metre SL96. Due to debut at Boot Düsseldorf 2020, the new design features the work of exterior designer Zuccon International Project and interior designer Laura Sessa. The asymmetrical design aims to create new life scenarios with a better connection to the outdoors. For up to eight guests in four staterooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, the lower-deck is devised of two guest cabins and the VIP suite, whereas the master suite is located between two levels with the bathroom and sleeping area on the main-deck and the dressing room lower down. The asymmetrical configuration of the SL96 retains only the side decks on the starboard side, giving an additional 10-square-metres of interior space. The design utilises handrails as a means of enclosing the sunbathing area on the roof of the superstructure at the bow of the Raised Pilot House.“Each project is brought to life by the sharing of an idea that is a synthesis between the sensitivity of the designer and the wishes of the client. In this case, the input was clear, to continue the design process started with the SL102Asymmetric, with the aim being to retain the styles and symbology that characterised the first product, reworking them and shaping them to give this new model its own identity. We have therefore worked on the details, on the identification of a symbol that can induce the eye to seek out and find those significant differences that make the product distinguishable within the range,” commented Bernardo Zuccon.
Inside, the main-deck saloon features a living area, balcony and a large dining room with full-height windows offering a panoramic view enhanced by an electric wall. The uniform interior decor by Laura Sessa uses Mediterranean colours."My job is to turn customers' dreams into reality. As an interior designer, it is important for me to translate the customer's requests into an elegant and harmonious design, in the name of harmony between exterior and interior. I develop every project in close liaison with the owner, following every phase of the project, from the start to finish," explains Laura Sessa.
The Sanlorenzo SL96 can reach a top speed of 28 knots, cruise at 24 knots and can be accompanied by a 4.5-metre tender.
