Southern Wind launches sailing yacht Lady G

Southern Wind has announced the launch of the third yacht in it’s 94’ mini-series in Cape Town’s commercial harbour. Designed by Reichel Pugh in conjunction with Nauta Design, the new vessel has been named Lady G, and follows after the launches of sisterships Windfall and Kinoko II.

The 29 metres semi-custom project was commissioned by an experienced yachtsman with the brief to create a yacht that would be capable of high performance sailing in great comfort for both himself as well as his growing family.

Slight differences between Lady G and her sisterships include alternative transom lines. This is due to the aft cockpit deck floor being lowered, emphasising her sporty aspect. In addition, the owner’s cabin afore presents two separate double bunks and extra stowage lockers. A fourth guest cabin, with two Pullman bunk beds, replaces the TV lounge in the saloon.

She is scheduled to leave South Africa within the next two months and head to the Mediterranean for summer, where she will be officially presented at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
