Some of the world's most spectacular superyachts are gathering at Gustavia harbour once again for St Barths Bucket Regatta after a two-year hiatus. The highly regarded event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 restrictions, but it is back at the idyllic island of Saint Barthélemy for its 28th time since first gracing these local waters in 1995. The event is running from Thursday 17th March until Sunday 20th March and starts with three historic J-Class boats that sail two races before being joined by another 24 superyachts in five classes, and three yachts in the “90’ Class” on Friday through Sunday for a single race each day. In actual fact, the average length of the current in-build yachts in Turkey is 49 meters, with many of these yachts being motor yachts and motor-sailors as well as gulets. The country is the number one destination for gulet charter, but also offers guests the opportunity to experience the breathtaking coastline onboard a variety of different types of yacht.

The Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman has just announced its plans to build the world’s largest sloop, the 85-metre New World Sloop, Project 410. According to the Amsterdam based shipyard, the project is set to be a ‘revolutionary’ step into the future for superyachts.
