Just five months after its official entry in India with the appointment of the dealer Sorenstam Ventures, Azimut Yachts has received an order for an Azimut 103S for an Indian owner. The Azimut 103S, the Open flagship of Azimut Yachts’ S line, is the perfect expression of boundless freedom and intimacy. The Maxi Open was recently presented in Dubai, on March 12th.
The Azimut 103S is a yachting masterpiece that combines the sportiness of its external lines with onboard comfort. It is equipped with four large cabins that include an extraordinary owner’s suite that stands out for the luminosity and luxuriousness of its interiors, characterised by wenge wood, Armani Casa lighting and fine fabrics. The Azimut 103S is the first Open in world yachting that is equipped with a second deck for the wheelhouse which allows the owner and his guests absolute intimacy and onboard freedom thanks to total separation from the crew. The two powerful 2434 HP MTU engines with Rolls Royce KaMeWa waterjet propulsion push this big Open, nearly 31 metres long, to a top speed of 34 knots.
The order for the Azimut 103S was booked in Mumbai, an epicentre of luxury and society life a short distance from India’s premier tourist destination, Goa. Mumbai is located in the region where the country’s greatest nautical development is foreseen.
Mumbai is home to India’s film industry (Bollywood) and much of the country’s media. It also hosts the Royal Bombay Yacht Club, the world’s third oldest (founded in 1846), and offers a protected, accessible coastline. India’s richest state, Goa is a natural paradise with over 100 km of spectacular coast.
“The order for an Azimut 103S in India,” said Azimut Yachts CEO Federico Martini, “is a great success for the company which confirms and rewards our strategy of broadening our world sales network and our attention to the emerging Asian markets. Our presence in the world now extends to 58 countries with 128 dealerships. The Azimut 103S embodies the excellence of Azimut Yachts’ Open line and is a metaphor for our commitment to innovation and expansion of the product range.”
