Second Sunreef 43M Eco superyacht sold and in-build
Sunreef Yachts has announced the sale of the second Sunreef 43M Eco superyacht with Ben Ritchie of Y.CO representing the buyer. The 42.7-metre eco sailing catamaran is designed to be ‘emissions-free’ and, according to Sunreef Yachts, will cruise in complete silence.The Sunreef 43M Eco sailing catamaran will incorporate solar panels in her hull, superstructure and bimini to deliver the yacht with up to 60kWp. She uses 1,000 square-metres of upwind sail area and 1,600 square-metres of downwind along with an impressive 49-metre mast to offer a smooth sailing experience.
Some of the standout features of the Sunreef 43M Eco include her ‘invisible’ aft garage that can stow two large tenders, a collection of water toys and an inflatable catamaran. Another key characteristic of the Sunreef 43M Eco yacht is her voluminous Ocean Lounge that blends the beach club with the aft deck that features fold-down balconies for additional space.
Performance-wise, the Sunreef 43M Eco is equipped with custom-engineered batteries and state of the art electric engines that offer up to 12 hours of e-motoring at eco speed. She will have a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum of 14 knots.
The contract for the first Sunreef 43M Eco was signed in October 2022.
