Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has recently released this video showing the first time the 50 metre superyacht Akoya has seen blue skies as the Heesen team move the vessel to its shed in their facilities in Oss, the Netherlands.
Built with an aluminium hull and superstructure, her naval architecture has been completed by Heesen, whilst Omega Architects undertook her exterior design. Cristiano Gatto Design are responsible for her interiors. She will accommodate up to twelve guests on board. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L 3,862hp engines, she has a top speed of 23 knots.
Akoya is part of Heesen’s 50 metre series, which also includes Monaco Wolf launched in 2014, Ventura launched in 2013, Septimus (ex. Satori) launched in 2011 and Ice Angel, also launched in 2011. Akoya is due for delivery in 2016.
