On Saturday 24th September the Codecasa shipyard in Viareggio, Italy launched their latest superyacht, hull number C.116. Christened Aldabra, the 51 metre luxury yacht is in the final stages of construction and will commence sea trials soon. Based on the Codecasa 51 series, the modern styled Aldabra can sleep 12 guests in one master suite and five guest cabins.
The full displacement motor yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and is built to Lloyd’s Register class and MCA compliant. Aldabra is powered by twin 2,447hp Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines which enable her to achieve a top speed of 17 knots and cruising speed of 16 knots.
