The support superyacht Bystander in St Barths
Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesUsed as a support vessel for her owner’s racing J Class sailing yacht Velsheda, the 42-metre superyacht Bystander was built at JFA Yachts in France in 2006. Her design by Rhoades Young and Vripack is based on a 1930s workboat to accommodate 12 guests and nine crew. Powered by twin 720 Hp Caterpillar engines, she has a maximum speed of 13 knots, and a cruising speed of 11.5 knots at which she can cover a range of 4,000 nm. The pair were spotted in St Barths over the weekend where Velsheda took part in the annual St Barths Bucket regatta.
