Amels superyacht Calypso in Bergen

Previously named Solemar, she was built in 2003 by the Vlissingen-based shipyard Amels in the Netherlands. Calypso features both interior and exterior design by Hampshire-based designer Michael Leach, while her naval architecture was penned by her builder. With an interior volume of 1,149 GT, she can accommodate up to 12 guests over six luxurious staterooms, consisting of a VIP stateroom in the bridge deck, four double staterooms on the lower deck, and an expansive split level main deck master suite. Performance-wise, Calypso is fitted with two Caterpillar 3516B engines of 2,636 horsepower each, allowing her to reach a top speed of 17 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots.
