The first edition of the International Yacht Awards – recently held at the exclusive Savoy Hotel in London to celebrate the world’s finest superyacht designs on the water - has seen Candyscape II as the winner in her category - the first 62-metre yacht launched by VSY-Viareggio Superyachts with the interior designed by Candy & Candy and the exterior by Espen Øino.
Admired for her elegant and comfortable external deck areas, incomparable interior design, environmental engineering, value for money, practical layout and excellent service areas, Candyscape II also shared first prize in her category at last year 's World Superyacht Awards.
Thus Candyscape II has been reconfirmed this year in all her beauty during the luxurious black-tie evening at the Savoy Hotel, hosted by one of the leading interior design magazines in the United Kingdom, 'design et al', in the presence of some of the finest interior and exterior designers on the market.
The yachts competing for this new award were divided into a number of award categories so that they could be judged against other vessels of a similar size and type. The voting was on-line and open to industrial professionals as well as 'design et al' readers, clients and customers: a distinctive feature that makes these awards different from others where the yachts are usually only judged by a panel.
Candyscape has won in the category of Power Yachts over 60 metres for her outstanding interior design by Candy & Candy - an eclectic collection of detailed decoration using veneers, fabrics, leathers, metals and stones to create a truly unique floating wonder, that VSY-Viareggio Superyachts has made a reality.
