Superyacht Company and Oculus Technologies open the Superyacht Clubhouse

The Superyacht Company team, publishers of SuperYachtTimes.com, recently moved into a new office in the centre of Amsterdam, which will be shared with our friends from Oculus Technologies, the company responsible for the onboard infotainment solution YachtEye.

We came across this new location by coincidence when we were looking at a different office space, a stone’s throw away from this one,” SuperYacht Company director Maarten Janssen says. “That one didn’t feel right, however, we all fell in love with this office, the moment we walked in”.

The office is located on the water, overlooking Realen island, one of the oldest parts of the docklands, dating back to 1648. Both residential and commercial life around the water remain key focal points today, with a small harbour supporting houseboats, yachts and businesses alike.

We decided to retain the office’s industrial look. You’ll find a lot of concrete, and bare materials, yet in true superyacht fashion, we have combined these with luxurious fabrics and warm textures, made by local young businesses”.

Maarten continues, “Sharing an office with another young, creative and innovative company involved in the superyacht industry, has long been our plan, and we hope to invite more small superyacht related companies to join us in the near future. To that effect we have already named the building appropriately; The Superyacht Clubhouse”.

SuperYacht Company director Merijn de Waard adds, “As was the case with our previous office, we have an ‘open door’ policy. Our doors are always open for anyone wishing to stop by, and discuss the latest developments in the superyacht industry…
