The incredible lightness of the autoclave pre-preg construction, made popular by Exit Engineering with its range of series production carbon gangways, is now available also to the superyacht market with lengths up to 6 meters.
Thousands of our gangways and wheels are currently installed, with full customer's satisfaction, on sailing and motor yachts in five continents. Recently a leading American shipyard, builder of reknown superyachts, asked Exit Engineering a new and complex task: to deliver a one-off gangway with the same technical and quality features of our series production.
All Exit Engineering products are made with pre-preg fabrics and epoxy resins. These are cured in an autoclave at high pressure (7 bar) and temperature (120° C). The one-off gangway 4.5 meters of length weighs only 14.4 kg. This incredible achievement was obtained thanks to our professionalism and expertise in designing composite material components and using dedicated software for the surface modelling and Finite Elements structural analysis.
These practical, sturdy and manageable gangways are a valid alternative to heavy and bulky hydraulic gangways. Besides choosing the length, up to 6 meters, and the version, solid or folding, clients can easy customise the gangway.
