Last week, superyacht Antalis narrowly escaped disaster in Greece, and we now receive news about another narrow miss, this time in the US. A Superyacht hit a rock some 100 metres off Nobska Beach near Woods Hole, Mass., on friday. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136213/image/large-81e14ca7bcb6af93cd9b0d8105470542.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136213">Quick action by the yacht's captain prevented the yacht from taking on more water through a hole in the hull, created by the rock, by intentionally grounding the vessel on the beach. “The yacht was intentionally grounded to keep the waterways open and to save the vessel from sinking,” said Senior Chief Petty Officer Ronny German from Sector Southeastern New England. “A safety zone was created to keep other boaters out of the area so crews could assist the yacht.” The yacht was towed to Fairhaven, Mass., for repairs. Superyacht intentionally runs aground to prevent sinking

France-based builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/416" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocea (Company)">OCEA</a> has announced that the fourth hull in the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/416" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocea (Company)">OCEA</a> Commuter 108 yacht series is nearing completion. Produced by UK-based Insensys, the system is based on three rotating carbon fibre masts capable of deploying up to 2,396 square-metres of sail.
