The 55-metre Lady A was built in 1986 by Sterling Yachts in Japan and launched as Southern Cross III to a design by Jon Bannenberg. Her British owner had the yacht undergo a major 10-month refit at Burgess Marine which, amongst minor structural and mechanical changes, saw the yacht receive an exterior facelift, now sporting a light grey hull. She arrived in London earlier this week where she is lying on the River Thames.
