Superyacht Moonraker in Viareggio
Superyacht Moonraker, built at Norship in Norway to a design by Frank Mulder, once ranked as the fastest yacht in the world. She was built for experienced yacht owner John Staluppi, who wanted to break another speed record with this yacht. When launched, she was equipped with twin 3480hp MTU's coupled with a 4600hp Textron gas turbine. The result was a top speed of 66 knots. Three sisterships of Moonraker were built (Sunark, Daloli and Impulsive), but none of those matched Moonraker's speed. The current owner of Moonraker has just taken delivery of a new Moonraker, a Mangusta 165.
